How You Can Help

Our hearts go out to all those who experienced the loss and destruction due to the Eaton fire, including eleven members who lost their homes. 

The current and recent members, as well as close associates, who have lost homes are as follows:

• Alex and Neal: Alex assists in teaching the Beginner Kids class and Neal is always willing to help when needed
• Scarlett: A member in our kids class
• Leslie: A member since 2022
• Kelly: A member since 2019
• Jay: Former board member and Makoto Taiko’s master drum repairer
• Christen: A member since 2015 and a resident of Altadena for 34 years
• Andrew and Mary: Mother and son who have been members since 2015 and who have lived in Altadena for nearly 40 years 
• Charles and Emily: Both members in our adult classes, and daughter Melusine who participated in our first parent-child class
• Joe: A member in our Seniors class who recently retired as minister at a local Altadena church, which also was completely lost
